Since then, a Congress has been held every four years in a Member State to exchange on technical innovations and experiences in the road and transport sector worldwide.<\/p>\n<p>In addition to the World Road Congress, a World Winter Service and Road Resilience Congress has been held every four years since 1969.<\/p>\n<h3>UPCOMING EVENTS<\/h3>\n<h4><strong>National<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p>General meeting on 3 November 2026 (further information to follow).<\/p>\n<h4><strong>International<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p><strong>World Congress on Road Winter Service, Resilience and Decarbonisation &#8211; Chamb\u00e9ry 2026<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The World Congress on Road Winter Service, Resilience and Decarbonisation took place from 10 to 13 March 2026 in Chamb\u00e9ry, France. FEDRO and PIARC Switzerland were represented with an exhibition stand and two presentations:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Focus of exhibition stand: \u2018Decarbonised winter service\u2019 and \u2018Decarbonisation at FEDRO\u2019<\/li>\n<li>Presentations: \u2018Big picture: decarbonisation in road transport and maintenance in Switzerland\u2019 and \u2018Examples of decarbonisation in everyday life and on construction sites\u2019<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The exhibition stand consisted of three steles (including two screens and a touchscreen), a counter and a storage room, all of which displayed content on both the front and rear sides. The exhibition stand presented facts and figures about FEDRO, along with background information on decarbonisation efforts (e-trucks, charging infrastructure, Wallisellen maintenance centre, photovoltaic systems).
